Paddock Wood Choral Society is a medium-sized, mixed voice choir. The Choir was formed over 20 years ago in January 1980 when a small group of enthusiasts came together under the baton of Graham Dibbens, then Head of Music at Mascalls School.rehearsal

Since then the Choir has averaged some three concerts a year. Works performed range from unaccompanied short polyphonic pieces to large scale oratorios requiring considerable orchestral forces. Music by composers from the pre-Renaissance period right up to modern Twentieth Century works is in the Choir’s repertoire. Our Conductor and Music Director is Adrian Pitts.

PWCS currently musters some 50 members but we are always ready to welcome competent, reliable singers, young or old. If you would like to sing with us, or you would like to know more about the Choir, please get in touch with our Secretary, Carol Barnett (telephone 01892 834818 ) or our Chairperson, Bob Jay (telephone 01892 522844 ). We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the Wallis Room at St Andrew's Church, Paddock Wood, from 7.45pm to 9.30pm. Participants can arrive from 7.30pm.
