Rochester Cathedral
The Chancel Singers was formed in 1990 by John Francis and has sung in abbeys, churches and cathedrals throughout England including Salisbury, Winchester, Bath, Lincoln, Gloucester, Chichester, Rochester, St Alban's, Wells and, on several occasions, St Paul's.

The Chancel Singers have a varied repertoire which includes many of the famous service settings and anthems by 19th and 20th century composers but it is constantly being extended to encompass more elaborate settings for the communion, the responses and the evening canticles by writers such as Robert Parsons and Herbert Howells.

August 2004 marked the retirement of John Francis and the choir is now directed by Christopher Harris MA FRCO.

The choir is fortunate to have two accompanists, local organists Paul Jeffery and Andrew Radford.

The singers are available for Weddings, recitals and concerts and are always looking for new members.
